"These Rockhead Bass would be perfect if it didn't have all these small bones."
Rockhead Bass is the fish-type monster that Master brought back as a souvenir from Baron Jitbelt's ship.
Apparently, their skulls are so durable and light that pirates sometimes use them as shields.
"Since the bones are so thin, would you not be able to just eat them, Arisa?"
"Crunchy, crunchy~?"
Liza apparently heard me whisper to myself, and questions me with a surprised look.
Liza and Tama are currently eating a bone-filled slab of Rockhead Bass flesh in between two slices of bread. They munch into it as if it was a fish sandwich.
I guess it is hard for them to understand, since they always eat shrimp and crab with the shells attached.
"Lulu, get the bones nanodesu."
Back when we were traveling on land, there was a time that Pochi got a fish bone stuck in her throat. It looks like she is still being careful about that.
She still needs Lulu to remove the bones for her though.
"Pochi-chan, let's do it together so you can learn how."
"Okay nanodesu."
Lulu gently teaches Pochi how to take out the bones.
She seems like she would be a good mother.
"Mia, I declare that I have finished removing the bones."
It looks like Nana is actually having fun taking out the bones for Mia.
She is still expressionless, but I can somehow understand that she is slightly happy.
Nana hands Mia the pile of fish meat.
"Nn, tuna mayo."
Mia takes a container of mayonaise, dumps it on the fish, and mixes it into a paste.
She usually doesn't like meat, but I guess she is okay eating it that way.
"Mia, Rockhead Bass isn't an actual tuna you know?"
"Mu, non-issue."
Mia denies my statement and shakes her head at me. Her twintails spin in the air and start whipping Master's head.
"It looks like this region doesn't have any tuna either."
Paying no attention to Mia's hair whip, Master says that sadly.
This is the perfect chance for an appeal. I swallow the food in my mouth and stand up.
But--.
"Master! Flock of seabird monsters approaching! Permission to engage?"
"Oh, I guess today's dinner will be grilled bird and cutlets."
--Hearing Liza-san's report, Master stands up. My arms that were about to embrace Master's head only managed to grab air.
Tch, these stupid birds need to read the atmosphere.
The duck-looking birds burst out of the water and fly up at us. I get my revenge by frying them all with a thunder staff.
"Arisa, impressive work."
"Good job~?"
"Super amazing nanodesu!"
After collecting all the birds, Master turns to me. So, I face back towards my lovable Master and open my mouth.
"Throw in a yakitori-don too!"
Of course, with shredded nori seaweed on top.
